Armenians Leaving Church In Istanbul Stoned, Threatened With Death

Armenians who were leaving Narlı Kapı Church in İstanbul on Sunday were stoned by a group of children who chanted “death to you,” the artigerçek news website reported on Monday.

Ottoman conquest of Nicosia, 9 September 1570

On September 9, 1570, the Turks captured the city of Nicosia. 20,000 Nicosians were put to death, and every church, public building, and palace was looted. Only women and boys who were captured to be sold as slaves were spared.
